|The Overdrive Digital Bookmobile National Tour (www.digitalbookmobile.com) will showcase the Library's free eBook download service on Tuesday, August 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Digital Bookmobile is housed inside a high-tech, 18-wheel tractor-trailer which will be stationed in the Boardman Library parking lot.
Readers of all ages can learn how to download eBooks from the Library through interactive demonstrations and high-definition instructional videos. A gadget gallery—featuring Kindle®, iPad®, Android™ tablet, NOOK™, Sony® Reader™, BlackBerry®, Windows® Phone, and more—will help visitors experience and compare portable devices that are compatible with the Library’s eBook service
Don't forget, library card holders can always check out and download digital titles anytime, anywhere by visiting http://ebooks.libraryvisit.org. From there, they can browse the growing collection of bestselling, new release, and classic titles, and check out a digital title with a valid library card. At the end of the lending period, titles will automatically expire and are returned to the digital collection. The advantages of eBooks are that they are easy to download and enjoy, and they never incur late fees or damage charges.
