| From the East: Pennsylvania Turnpike to the Ohio Turnpike: |
- Traveling from the east from the Pennsylvania Turnpike to the Ohio Turnpike, exit at Ohio Turnpike Exit 16A.
- Follow I-680 Directions (heading north) towards the city. After several miles, look for signs directing you to Youngstown State University. Get off at Exit 6B, The Hubbard/Route 62 North & East Connector.
- You will pass the Himrod Avenue exit. Proceed to the next connector/exit to Route 422.
- After looping around, you will exit at the Wick Avenue exit. Turn left at the traffic light onto Wick Avenue and proceed through 3 traffic signals, keeping to the left hand lane.
- Following the third signal light at St. John's Episcopal Church, pass the church and turn left into the library parking lot. The building facade says "Reuben McMillan Free Library." The entrance to the building is from the parking lot side. Parking is free.

| From the East via Pennsylvania I-80: |
- After crossing the Ohio state line, look for the Youngstown/Belmont Avenue exit.
- Turn left at the traffic light onto Belmont Avenue and proceed south for several miles. After passing the Dairy Queen (on the left) and the Tod Cemetery (on the right) maneuver into the left hand lane.
- Belmont splinters off to the left following the traffic signal at Burlington Road by the Earl Sheib Auto Paint Shop. Continue on Belmont, passing Saint Elizabeth Hospital and crossing over the freeway.
- After the freeway overpass, continue to the next traffic signal beyond, not at end of, the overpass, which should be the intersection of Belmont and Rayen Avenues.
- Turn left onto Rayen Avenue. Staying in the left hand lane, proceed 2 traffic lights to the Wick and Rayen intersection.
- Turn left onto Wick Avenue, followed by an immediate right into the library parking lot. The building facade says "Reuben McMillan Free Library." The entrance to the building is from the parking lot side. Parking is free.

| From the North via Belmont Ave.: |
- Follow Belmont Avenue south toward Youngstown. After passing the Dairy Queen (on the left) and the Tod Cemetery (on the right) maneuver into the left hand lane.

| From the South via Route 7: |
- Follow Route 7/Market Street north to Youngstown.
- After going through downtown Youngstown, Market Street becomes Wick Avenue after the Commerce Street intersection.
- Proceed up the steep hill through 2 more traffic lights, keeping to the left hand lane. (The right hand lane is for right turns only.)
- Main Library is just after the second light (Rayen Avenue) on the right hand side of the street on the corner. The building facade says "Reuben McMillan Free Library." The parking lot is just after the library building. The entrance to the building is from the parking lot side. Parking is free.

| From the West: Akron on I-76 and Cleveland on I-80 (Ohio Turnpike): |
- About 10 miles west of Youngstown, I-76 and I-80 cross each other. (The Turnpike becomes I-76, and I-76 from Akron becomes I-80.)
- If coming from Cleveland, take Exit 218/15 to I-80 East. If coming from Akron, just go straight and I-76 will become I-80 East. (DO NOT get on the Turnpike, I-76 East toward Pittsburgh.)
- After about 4 miles, I-80 curves to the left toward New York City. Go straight onto I-680 toward Youngstown.
- After about 5 1/2 miles, take the second Market Street exit, Exit 6B, to the downtown.
- After crossing a bridge and going through the downtown, Market Street becomes Wick Avenue after the Commerce Street intersection.
- Proceed up the steep hill through 2 more traffic lights, keeping to the left hand lane. (The right hand lane is for right turns only.)
