Like its title - This book was Wonder-ful. Multiple perspectives described their relationship with a fifth grade boy who had an atypical appearance and how others related to him and their insecurities of accepting differences. It has a good lesson of how kindness goes a long way to build relationships and esteem. It should be a must read for every parent, teacher and school-age child to demonstrate kindness to others.

I've really enjoyed the Millennium Trilogy. Larsson's writing is very descriptive and his plots are complicated and intriguing.

Even passages very familiar to me hold new meaning and nuance in this version, which translates various shades of meaning rather than choosing between several likely phrasings.

As wacky as ever, Carl Hiaasen starts in southern FL and takes us on a romp thru the Carribian, with very unusual characters including a 'bad monkey'. Although there are many comical situations, he also has a dead sailfish scam (true) and a few roaches thrown in. His books follow a theme of 'taking care of the earth' w/o becoming patronizing.
