The Library Foundation offers many vehicles through which caring members of the community can support their library and its mission:
THANK YOU, WAL-MART, for the $1,000 donation to the Library’s Summer Reading Club! Representing the Boardman-Poland Wal-Mart, which made the very generous donation, are (from left) Machelle Laucher, Assistant Manager, and Ronda Jerek, Personnel Manager, pictured with Library Development Director Deborah Liptak. Thanks to generous donors such as the Boardman-Poland Wal-Mart, thousands of children in Mahoning County were reached during the summer and kept up their reading skills, making them more prepared to return to school in September.
Donations to the Library help to promote literacy, provide Library materials and services, contribute to special programming and author/illustrator visits, and so much more.
Donations are a special way of remembering a person or occasion.
Donations can be in your name, in honor of another person or an organization, or in memory of someone special.
The Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Gifts to the Library may be deductible for income tax purposes as provided by law.

Building and maintaining top quality libraries is a priority. Our new libraries provide a way for donors to make a valuable contribution to both The Library and the community. Consider a donation to one of The Library’s building projects.

The Library's Literary Society is a celebration of reading and literacy and how they enrich our lives. The Literary Society's goal is to offer enriching programs by bringing in noted authors and illustrators.
