Kids going into grades 5 through 8 are invited to register for the Library’s weeklong writing camp.
Each 2-hour session from Monday through Thursday will be filled with writing prompts, writing games, group activities, and lots of quiet time for writing.
On Friday, parents are encouraged to attend a gala with each child reading an excerpt of their work.
Following the gala is a guest author event with Kim Brown at 10 a.m., which is open to the public.
Writing Camp will be held at the Main Library from 9am - 11am, June 24 - June 28.
Registration is limited to the first 20 kids. Grades 5 - 8 only.

Meet Kim, the sister of Marc Brown, author of the “Arthur” series of books. Kim is the inspiration for D.W. in Brown’s “Arthur” books will share childhood memories of her famous brother, talk about how Marc writes and illustrates his stories, and show how to draw Arthur in 8 easy steps. For school-age children. No reservations are needed.
