Ever wonder what being on-stage at Stambaugh Auditorium would be like?

Louis ArmstrongNow's your chance. The Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County, Stambaugh Auditorium and the Dana School of Music present a free, fun six-part series, "America's Music: A Film History of Our Popular Music From Blues to Bluegrass to Broadway.”

Almost every month there will be a new genre of music, a performance, film and discussion. Oh, and popcorn....on stage.

The first event is “Blues and Gospel,” with performance by Alton Merrell and lecture by Dr. Ewelina Boczkowska. Short film screenings and discussion: "Martin Scorsese Presents The Blues: Episode 1," "Feel Like Going Home" and "Say Amen, Somebody."
