Take a ‘Soar Into Reading’ at the Plant the Seed to Read Book Festival

You won’t want to miss this year’s Plant the Seed to Read Book Festival, featuring Peg+Cat! Take your picture with these characters. Stop by the Library’s booth for fun and surprises. You can even sign up for a Library Card!

The day features: Author Sandra Phillipson • Author/Illustrator Betsy Snyder • Storyteller Candace Miller • Storyteller/Actor Tim Hartman • Music by Hey Kid! • Hands-On Activities • Dance by Ballet Western Reserve • Akron Children’s Hospital Air Bear® Helicopter and more!


The Library is a co-sponsor of the event, with Altrusa Club of Youngstown, Mill Creek MetroParks, and Western Reserve PBS.

Stroller parking will be available. Due to limited space, strollers will not be permitted in the Davis Center during the event.
