| CELEBRATE NATIONAL CHILDREN'S BOOK WEEK, MAY 12-18! “Feed the Bookworm!” - In honor of National Children's Book Week, decorate a section to add to our bulletin-board bookworm — and watch it grow all month long! For children of all ages.Canfield , Library Hours, May “Match the Authors With Their Books” - For grades K-6. CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS “Be a Good Sport…” - It's crunch time, so make a gutsy play, show off your fancy footwork and stop in for stories, songs and a craft to celebrate National Physical Fitness and Sports Month. For ages 2-5. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Sign up. “Calling All Tweens: Guess and Go!” - We cut up the covers of several books for our guessing jar. The entry with the most correct answers wins a prize! For grades 4-6. “Celebrity Pajama Jam: Sleepy-Time Fun for the Family” - Put on your PJs, bring out the whole family and listen to bedtime stories read by Mrs. Borovitcky, principal of Dobbins Elementary. “Celebrity Story Time With Mahoning Valley Thunder Players” - Meet players from the Mahoning Valley Thunder arena football team as they read stories and sign autographs! Fun for the whole family! “Come and Join the Fun” - Stories and fun for ages 4-5. “Creation Station: A Make-and-Take Craft Program” - For children of all ages. “Don't Paws for Concern: Celebrate Our Pets!” - Act like an animal – hop on in or jump in – to play bingo and other games about the paws-itively purr-fect pets in our lives. For grades 1-4. Sign up. “Family Story Time: Every Day is Earth Day” - This is an invitation to celebrate our Earth! Stories, games and more for children of all ages. “Go For the Gold!” - Try our Olympic trivia contest for children of all ages. There will be a prize drawing for winning entries. “Guess 'N' Go – Do You Know?!” - Guess the number of items in the jar. Closest guess wins. For grades 6 and younger. “May-Lei: Celebrate May – Hawaiian Style!” - Come see the hula-dancing pigs, do the limbo and make a colorful lei! Refreshments and fun for children of all ages. For children of all ages. BABY BRILLIANT PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN “Baby Brilliant: Tales for Toddlers” - Stories and fun for early talkers, ages 2-3. Children must be accompanied by an adult. “Baby Brilliant: Time for Babies and Books” - Books, songs, rhymes and more. Children must be accompanied by an adult. TEENXTREME PROGRAMS “Celebrate the Arts at Austintown Library!” - All are welcome to the reception for our art show, featuring the work of Austintown Fitch High School students. Are you wondering if you need a financial expert to create a budget for you? During this free training session geared to new grant-seekers, Jimeka Holloway, training coordinator at the Foundation Center - Cleveland, will answer the following questions and more: What expenses are covered under “personnel”? What level of detail do you need to include for non-personnel expenses? How do you determine an overall amount that is neither too high nor too low in relation to what you expect to accomplish? What is the relationship between the budget for your project and the overall budget for your nonprofit organization? What kinds of expenses should be included on the “overhead” line?
