The Library has provided specialized services to the area’s business community since 1924, when business information was first offered by its Reference Department. Today, the Business and Investment Center, located in Main Library’s Information Services Department, continues this mission to business owners and aspiring business owners.

Current sources, historical sources, government documents, CD-ROM products and online databases bring the business-community information on business, finance, trade, demographics, import, export, marketing and advertising.

The Business and Investment Center also provides information for the investor from such authoritative sources as Value Line, Morningstar, Standard & Poor’s, and Mergent. Newspapers and magazines to the world of business are available, as well.
Visit the Business and Investment Center, of course. However, certain information may only be a telephone call away. And, YES, the Library can fax information to you, so that you and your business can receive information even faster. The Library will fax materials to area code 330 at 10-cents per page.

Find out more about the Business and Investment Center by visiting the Library’s Web site, LibraryVisit.org. Click on “B$C Bizbeat” for online access to information on library sources and Web sites for the world of business and investment. The Library can also introduce you to sources tailored to your business by a tour of the Business and Investment Center.

Are you a member of an investment club? Your club can also tour the center to learn about sources for investment research. Call the Library at 330-744-8636 to arrange.
