The Search Ohio and  OhioLINK Consortiums Offer Access to Library Materials Around the State

                  The Library doesn’t have the book you’re looking for?  No problem.

            The Search Ohio and OhioLINK consortiums provide access to over 75,000,000 items

            in the collections of member public libraries and Ohio’s college and university libraries.

            You will be able to request those materials through our catalog, and in a few days, the   

            materials will be available for pick-up at a library near you. And best of all – it’s FREE.

How to Use Search Ohio and OhioLINK

Print

1) Begin by searching our catalog for the item you want.

2) If you can’t find what you’re looking for, click on link for Search Ohio

3) When item is located, click on REQUEST THIS ITEM.

4) Choose “Youngstown-Mahoning” from drop-down list.

5) Enter your name and library barcode.

6) Where would you like to pick up the requested item? Choose a location.

7) Click on SUBMIT.

8) You will be notified when item arrives. Item must be picked up within 7 days.

9) If item is not found through Search Ohio, click on the OhioLINK option and repeat steps

    3 through 8 above.

• Loan period is 21 days for most items; 7 days for DVDs.
• All materials, except DVDs, can be renewed up to 3 times if not on hold for another patron.
• One renewal on DVDs.
• Extended use fee is 50¢ per day/per item for ALL items.
• A charge of $25 will be assessed for any Search Ohio item damaged or not returned.
• A charge of $125 will be assessed for any OhioLINK item damaged or not returned.

Search Ohio and OhioLINK policies, fines and charges are determined by the consortiums and cannot be waived or negotiated.
