The Library doesn’t have the book you’re looking for? No problem.

Search Ohio is an amazing opportunity for patrons of the Library to find materials through an internet search from the entire Search Ohio consortium.

You will be able to request those materials, and in a few days, the materials will be available for pick-up at a library near you. And best of all – it’s FREE.

1) Begin by searching our catalog for the item you want.

2) If you can’t find what you’re looking for, click on link for Search Ohio

3) When item is located, click on REQUEST THIS ITEM.

4) Choose “Youngstown-Mahoning” from drop-down list.

5) Enter your name and library barcode.

6) Where would you like to pick up the requested item? Choose a location.

7) Click on SUBMIT.

8) You will be notified when item arrives. Item must be picked up within 7 days.

• Loan period is 21 days for books, audio materials, and nonfiction videos.
• Loan period is 7 days for fiction videos and DVDs.
• All materials, except DVDs, can be renewed up to 3 times if not reserved by another patron.
• Overdue fines are 50¢ per day/per item for books; $1.00 per day / per item for Audio Books, DVDs, Videos and Music CDs with a maximum fine of $10.
• A charge of $25 per item will be assessed for any item damaged or not returned.
• Search Ohio policies, fines and charges are determined by the Search Ohio consortium and cannot be waived or negotiated.
