Through the Library’s Special Delivery "LIBRARY-BY-MAIL" Program, you can receive the following items via the mail at NO CHARGE*
• Books and Magazines, including large print
• Books on CD and Books on Cassette
• Music CDs
• Movies on DVD and Videocassette
• Descriptive Videos for the Visually Impaired

Receive your library materials through the mail with Special Delivery's Library-By-Mail Through our Special Delivery Library-By-Mail program, library materials are delivered FREE—by mail—to qualifying patrons. 

Services and Equipment for the Blind and Physically Handicapped
The following reading aids are available for loan to Special Delivery patrons:
• Bar Magnifiers
• Prism Glasses

Special Delivery also takes applications for the free federal Talking Book Program of the Library of Congress, created for individuals who can no longer read or hold print materials. Special Delivery distributes Talking Book players as part of the federal government’s Talking Book Program administered by the State Library of Ohio. Two regional libraries for the blind deliver the actual recorded books. They also provide descriptive videos and Playaway digital audio books, with Special Delivery acting as the local referral contact and information source.

Descriptive Videos for the Visually Impaired Descriptive Videos help visually disabled or blind individuals to enjoy and understand movies by enhancing the visual action and the movie’s dialogue with a voiceover which describes and explains the scene.
Need a Speaker?
Special Delivery librarians are available to speak to groups and organizations about Special Delivery services and to conduct entertaining reminiscence programs using Bi-Folkal kits and other programming materials.

Special Delivery is special to our patrons, such as Helen VanGorder and her husband, W. Sturgeon VanGorder. So special that Helen entrusted a portion of her estate, about $350,000, to Special Delivery. Both Helen and her husband were longtime Library patrons who later became regular users of the Library-By-Mail service and wanted the service to remain strong - for you!
