Everyone wants to be able to create beautiful driveway or sidewalk art, but chalk can be hard to find these days. Here are a couple of recipes for sidewalk chalk paint that are easy, non-toxic, and use everyday household items.

Sidewalk Chalk Paint

Materials:

3 cups cornstarch

3 cups water (more or less depending on how thick you like the paint)

Food coloring

Large Bowl

Small bowls (or muffin tin) for each color

Paintbrushes

Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix the cornstarch and water together very well, until all the clumps are gone. Divide the mixture into smaller bowls or a muffin tin. Add a few drops of food coloring and mix well.  Paint!

The mixture will separate a little as it sits. Just use your paintbrush to give it a stir while you’re painting.
