Assistance to local Nonprofit Grantseekers During the Coronavirus Pandemic

grants

Are you trying to search for grants from home while staying indoors to comply with the governor’s orders and don’t know where to turn?  We have the solution!  Our partner, Candid who has for a combined 88 years as Foundation Center and Guidestar, given people the information they’ve needed to do good.  During this time, Candid has made the Essential version of the Foundation Directory available to our local nonprofit grantseekers from the Grant Center page found at  https://www.libraryvisit.org/research/grant-resources/.

FDO Essential is a great plan to get you started in fundraising.  If you need further help, I invite you to contact me for assistance at Sfreaney@libraryvisit.org.

During less challenging times, nonprofits come to the Main library’s Grant Center, a Funding Information Network Partner of Candid to access the Professional version of FDO.  We also offer programs on using the Foundation Directory Online, an Introductory proposal writing  course and many more.

Perhaps you’d like to sharpen your fundraising skills by taking an on demand course for free offered by Candid at https://grantspace.org/training/search/format/on-demand/

While you’re doing your part to stop the spread, may I suggest you check out an e-book about fundraising and nonprofits through Overdrive.  Our extensive catalog is available at www.libraryvisit.org.  If you don’t have a library card, you can get one online  at https://www.libraryvisit.org/online-registration/
