This database provides access to 1000’s of articles on various crafts and hobbies, from a variety of sources. You will need a library card to access.
Universal Class is another resource that you will have to sign in using your PLYMC library card, but once you do, you’ll have access to free, instructor-led courses on a variety of subjects, including arts and crafts.
This website requires registration with an email address, but once you are registered, you can share your DIY efforts with a community of makers, and see what others have been making as well. Kollabora is also a great source of inspiration, and can connect you with patterns and instructions for various crafts.
Like Kollabora, this is an online community, but it’s specifically made for knitters and crocheters. Ravelry requires registration with an email, but then provides a wealth of features for fiber fans. Track your projects, keep track of your yarn and pattern stashes, find and download new patterns, and engage with fellow knitters and crocheters in their groups and forums.
