Navigating the current podcast boom can certainly be a challenge. In this post, you’ll find podcast recommendations based on what you like to watch, as well as watch alikes for your favorite podcasts. If you can’t get enough of truTV’s comedy show, Hack My Life, then check out The Lazy Genius Podcast. Like Hack My Life, The Lazy Genius Podcast offers time-saving and how-to tips on everyday life activities, although it does dial down on the comedy.

If your go-to TV channel is ESPN, or you love rewatching classic sports movies like A League of Their Own, The Sandlot, The Blind Side, and We Are Marshall, then the Sports Wars podcast is perfect for you! Sports Wars delves into the history of some of the biggest rivalries between major athletes like Lebron, Shaq, Brady, and Manning, and explores the raging feuds among sports teams. Whether you’re an athlete yourself or a diehard sports fan, the Sports Wars podcast is definitely worth checking out.

History, science, and trivia nerds will want to give Every Little Thing a try. People ask the questions, and Every Little Thing provides the answers with the help of knowledgeable professionals. This podcast combines everything you love about the History Channel, How It’s Made, and Jeopardy! into one amazing, and highly entertaining show.


For all the music buffs who enjoy learning about the backstory of songwriting from the songwriters themselves, check out the Netflix series, Song Exploder. Based on the popular podcast of the same name, the series provides an in-depth look at creating today’s hit songs.
