Sweatin’ to the Oldies

exercise-class

Remember Richard Simmons? Sweatin’ to the Oldies? If you are feeling a bit nostalgic for the good ole days and find yourself needing a way to move, whether you’re stuck at home or need a break from the gym, you’re in luck. Available now on Hoopla, you can join Richard and sweat it out to some oldies.

At the beginning of the stay at home order, I found my daily workout routine had changed, and I was getting bored with the same walk around my neighborhood. Then, one day I decided to peruse our virtual online library through Hoopla, free to library card holders, and stumbled upon six of Richard Simmons’ workout videos. I decided to give Richard Simmons’ Sweatin’ to the Oldies Volume 1 a try, and to my surprise, I managed to have fun while getting active.

Originally produced in 1980, the first volume of Sweatin’ to the Oldies, will get your heart pounding with Richard and his live cast and band. The volume features classics, such as, Great Balls of Fire, Peggy Sue, Dancing in the Streets, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, and more! This fun aerobic workout is a great option to get in 30-60 minutes of exercise. Make sure to check out Richard Simmons’ other workouts to stay active while having fun.

Even though gyms are now re-opening, Hoopla has many workout options, including those with Richard Simmons. Sing along to these great songs as you sweat your way to a healthier, happier, and more active you!
