MyFitnessPal is an easy to use calorie monitor and exercise tracker.  It has a large food database that allows you to track over 14 million foods and even bar codes to log in everything you eat.  A new innovation, Meal Scan, lets you take a photo of what you have on your plate, and an AI powered search logs what you will be eating!  This app has features that provide goal setting, progress tracking, and contains expert inspired coaching embedded in recipes and full-length video workout routines to keep things fresh and fun.  Additional features include the ability to tract carbs, fat and protein.  The app connects to over 50 other apps and devices. Most importantly you can connect your smartwatch and the Health app on your iPhone.

Nike Training Club

NTC offers more than 185 workouts, including HIT (high intensity training), boxing, yoga classes and cardio for many different levels of athlete.  The workouts are both equipment based and equipment free programs.  The app library has beginner through advanced exercises ranging from 5-60 minutes in four to nine-week programming.  It also includes health and wellness advice.  NTC can be connected to the Apple Watch and can also use Apple Music to play tunes during workouts.

Fitness & Bodybuilding Pro

Become your own personal trainer with an app that includes video support with every workout. You can follow the list of exercises based on muscle group.  The app can track both your weight and the number of repetitions for exercises with graphing.  By choosing 2, 3 or 4 day a week pre-set workout plans, FBP is customizable.   Timers and calendars are built in to track your progress as you go.  This app syncs with the iCloud and Apple Watch.

Fitness Buddy: Train at Home

Like a friend, this all-in-one app will assist you to lose weight, gain muscle, eat healthy and create good habits.  It contains hundreds of workouts to use at home or in a gym and includes personalized meal plans and recipes.  The exercises have detailed instructions and video for both beginners and advanced weight lifting.  Workouts can be targeted to specific muscle groups with over 2,400 unique exercises and 1,000 videos.  Meal plans include keto, paleo, fasting and vegetarian options.  The app integrates with Apple Health to track steps.  It also tracks body metrics for chest, arms, thighs, etc., and graphs your progress.

30 Day Fitness at Home

Created by a professional fitness coach, this app is designed to help you stick with your 30-day plan.  It syncs data to Apple Health and records training progress automatically as well as reminding you that you still need to get the day’s workout completed.  Using detailed video guides, it increases exercise intensity step by step in three difficulty levels from beginner to pro.  Challenges are designed to work on various parts of the body, including abs, glutes and full body workouts.

FitOn Workouts and Fitness Plans

With celebrity trainers this app lets you select personalized goals to trim down your waist and bulk up your muscle mass while learning to take care of your mental and physical health.  Training includes HIT, yoga, Pilates, Barre, cardio and strength exercises.  A live leaderboard allows friendly competition as well as tracking progress you can share with friends.  Syncs with Apple Health and Apple Watch.
