Changes to September Library Programs Due to Temporary Closing of Austintown Library for Repairs
AUSTINTOWN (August 30, 2018/For Immediate Release) – Due to the Austintown Library closing temporarily for repairs beginning September 10, a number of changes and cancellations of previously scheduled Library programs have been made. The work is expected to be approximately two weeks.
Austintown Library patrons can attend programs at any of the other libraries in the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County (PLYMC) system during the closing. Nearby libraries include:

Friends of Austintown Library Meeting – The September Friends of Austintown Library Meeting on September 24 is being moved to the Michael Kusalaba Branch due to the Austintown Library closing for repairs.

The Mighty Uke – View the movie “The Mighty Uke: The Amazing Comeback of a Musical Underdog” and explore the history and resurgence of this musical instrument. Reservations are needed. Please note: This program date has been changed from Sept. 15 to Oct. 20.

Fun Ways to Use Your Library Account – Get to know BiblioCommons, the Library’s new enhanced catalog. Create your own account that allows you to place holds, renew items, create a list of books you want to read, rate titles, add reviews, and more. It’s now a social media experience plus a catalog. Bring your own laptop, tablet, or smart phone if you have one, or use one of our computers to get started. Registration required. For adults.

Chapter Chat Book Club – Love books? Come to the Chapter Chat Book Club where we will be reading and discussing a book together every month. Each month will be a new genre. Read It Before You See It Book Club – People always say the book is better than the movie. This book club will get together to read and discuss books that are soon to be released in the theaters.
