Elevator at Main Library Entrance Now Operational

YOUNGSTOWN (June 3, 2019/For Immediate Release) – The elevator for disabled patrons located at the entrance to the Main Library, Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County (PLYMC), 305 Wick Ave., has been repaired and is operating normally.

YOUNGSTOWN (May 30, 2019/For Immediate Release) – The elevator for disabled patrons located at the entrance to the Main Library, Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County (PLYMC), 305 Wick Ave., is currently out of order and is expected to be unavailable for about a week while repairs are made. Main Library is open and the elevator to all other floors is operating.

The elevator which is currently unavailable takes handicapped patrons from the doorway to the first level of the library, bypassing the stairway.

Disabled patrons may want to use nearby branch libraries, telephone reference, or the Library’s website, www.LibraryVisit.org, for their library services. Additionally, handicapped patrons who need to use the Main Library can receive assistance by calling 330-744-8636 in advance to make arrangements.
