‘Libraries Transform’ eBook Pick Free on Overdrive Sept. 14-28

“Libraries Transform Book Pick,” an initiative of the American Library Association (ALA), has announced its eBook choice for September 14-28: “Book of the Little Axe” by Lauren Francis-Sharma.  The Libraries Transform Book Pick is a program which offers free access to a chosen ebook through public libraries across the nation.

The next will be available September 14-28. During that time, readers will be able to check out an ebook copy of “Book of the Little Axe” at U.S. public libraries using OverDrive without waitlists or holds—all they need is a library card and the Libby app. The program connects book lovers across the country by providing simultaneous access to an ebook. Author Lauren Francis-Sharma is also connecting with readers through her recently launched “58 Book Clubs to Freedom” campaign. The campaign is an opportunity for Lauren to meet virtually with book clubs and also to commemorate Trinidad’s Independence Day and Indigenous Peoples’ Day.
