Library Express Opens in OH WOW!
YOUNGSTOWN (For release at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 12, 2017) – The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County (PLYMC) opens a space inside OH WOW! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12. “Library Express,” the Library’s newest location, will be open Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
What can you do at Library Express? Sign up for a library card, check out books, return books in the Library book drop, and register for Summer Discovery. Books checked out at the Library Express can either be returned at that location or at any of the public libraries in the PLYMC system.
“This location, while not a full-service library, will provide services important to our customers. Library Express will connect the Library with visitors to OH WOW!.” says Library Executive Director Heidi Daniel. “For some time, we have considered a library presence in the downtown area. When the opportunity arose to have a library space in OH WOW!, we were enthusiastic about the prospect. With the opening today, we are realizing our goal, which will help connect Library customers with materials and information they want and need.”
“OH WOW’s partnership with the public library has been an important part of our success,” says Suzanne Barbati, OH WOW! President and Executive Director. “This new initiative builds on our existing partnership and meets an identified strategy to expand our client base among those working downtown and their families.”
PLYMC is comprised of 14 branch libraries, a main library and now a Library Express in OH WOW! # # #
