Library Fundraiser, Ladies in Little Black Dresses for Literacy, Set for June 5 at Lake Club

POLAND (May 16, 2019/For Immediate Release) –Ladies in Little Black Dresses for Literacy, an annual fundraiser for the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County (PLYMC), is set for 6 p.m., Wed., June 5, at the Lake Club, 1140 Paulin Rd.

This event benefits Library Foundation funds: The Carol A. Bacon Literary Society Fund and the Martha Muransky Children’s Literacy Fund. Tickets are $45 per person and include appetizers, summer fare and one glass of wine. There will be a cash bar.

The event features the following boutiques, which will sell accessories. A portion of the proceeds from participating boutiques will benefit these funds: Suzanne’s, ivory & birch, Matilda Jane Clothing and Possessions.

The event is sponsored by The Muransky Companies, in memory of Martha Muransky. Table sponsors are Vince and Phyllis Bacon; PNC Bank; and Home Savings.

Women-wear your favorite little black dress. Men-wear a black suit. Attendees are asked to bring a copy of a book by their favorite author to swap with other attendees and can also donate once-read or brand-new children’s books.
