Mahoning County Retired Teachers Association Donates Books to Library

BOOK DONATION – Sally Winsen (right), presents Deborah McCullough, Library Deputy Director, with a book from the Mahoning Retired Teachers Association (MRTA), which has been donating books to the Library for 21 years. This year’s donation is “Pearl Harbor 75 Years Later: A Day of Infamy and Its Legacy,” by the Editors of Life. Deceased members of the MRTA are remembered in May each year with a memorial book given to the Library through the John M. Knapick Memorial for Deceased Mahoning Retired Teachers, established in May of 1996. All donated books are chosen by the group with guidance from the Library, and are placed in the Library’s collection.  (5-17-17)
