PLYMC to Make Health and Safety Changes Effective Tuesday, January 4, 2022

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the Mahoning Valley, the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County (PLYMC) will be making changes to its health and safety protocols for its 15 branches across the county.

Effective January 4, 2022, all patrons over the age of six will be required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth when coming to a Library branch. Since August 2021, all Library staff have been required to wear a mask indoors and will continue to do so. PLYMC will also cancel all in-person programming and meeting room reservations effective on Tuesday, January 4. The new health and safety rules will be in place through Saturday, February 5th, 2022, at which point the Library will re-evaluate.

If a patron does not have a mask, the Library will provide one. We also ask that any patron(s) experiencing symptoms of any illness to not come to the Library and to please stay home.

The Library has updated hours for 2022. For a full list of locations and hours, please visit: The Public Library (libraryvisit.org)
