Library celebrates TeenTober with a Virtual Visit from
Author Justina Ireland October 16 for Teens

YOUNGSTOWN (October 12, 2020/For Immediate Release) — It’s double the celebration as the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County celebrates TeenTober and teens who completed the Summer Discovery Program with a virtual author visit. Justina Ireland, bestselling and award winning author of “Dread Nation,” will meet with teens through Zoom to discuss her novels and answer questions on Friday, October 16, from 6 – 8 p.m.

Registration and email address required; call 330-744-8636 or register online. For teens in grades 7-12. Teens who completed Summer Discovery and have a question for the author, can submit questions ahead of time to programmingdepartment@libraryvisit.org.

YA Fanart Contest

Teens can submit an original piece of fanart during October for a chance to win a copy of “Dread Nation.” Teens can receive a bonus entry if they create fanart for any of Justina Ireland’s books. This can be any art medium: drawing, painting, mixed media, digital art, and more.

Entry must include name, telephone number, grade and school. Entries are not returnable. One winner will be chosen and awarded a prize.

Eligibility: All entrants must be in grades 7-12 and either live in or attend school in Mahoning County. Contest runs from through October 31.
