Main Library Entrance Moves to Back of Building on Mon., June 21
Patrons Will Use Door Nearest the Parking Lot; Watch for Signage
The patron entrance to the Main Library will change on Monday, June 21, to the back of the building. Signage will alert patrons to the location of the new entrance, which will be used throughout 2021 and into 2022.
Once in the new door, patrons will be able to get information from a staff member at a greeter desk. This entrance is on the lower level of the building. Patrons will be able to use the stairway or a new elevator located near that entrance to go up to the 1st floor where services are being provided.

Temporary Parking Entrance Will Be Used at Main Library Thursday, June 17, Due to Construction,
and Main Library Patron Entrance Moves to Back of Building Monday, June 21
YOUNGSTOWN (June 15, 2021/For Immediate Release) — Due to construction at Main Library, 305 Wick Ave., the entrance to the parking lot off Rayen Avenue will not be available this Thursday, June 17. Instead, patrons will enter the parking lot by taking Walnut Street and turning up Grove Street to the Main Library’s parking lot. This temporary access is only expected to last one day.
The reason for the change is that heavy construction equipment will be blocking that access while new HVAC equipment is moved to the roof.
The entrance to the Main Library remains the same through this week. Although there may be fencing in the area, the general walk-in doors will be used by the public for the remainder of this week.
