August 2023 Resource Spotlight: Lincoln Library Online

As summer winds down, it’s back to school time! Did you know the library has a great homework resource for all ages and grades? It’s Lincoln Library Online, opens a new window. This resource has a variety of modules covering primary grades through high school and beyond.

Grades K-4+:

  • FactCite 123 - this has easy-to-read information arranged within 14 subject areas.
  • Biography for Beginners - a great place for brief biographies of people from history through today.

Grades 4-8:

  • American History - a go-to resource for events from throughout U.S. history.
  • Countries & Cultures - all the necessary facts and figures for country reports can be found here.
  • Science & Technology - articles, images, and diagrams to help increase understanding of science subjects from biology, chemistry, physics, and more.
  • Shapers of Society - 101 biographies of people who made significant contributions to the world.
  • Sports Champions - find biographies on over 750 athletes.
  • U.S. & World Biography - includes over 10,000 biographies on notable people through history.
  • World Mythology - a comprehensive resource which covers Greek, Roman, Norse, Egyptian, Mesopotamian, Native American, Japanese, and more from around the world.

Grades 9-12+:

  • Defining Moments in U.S. History - Each module features in-depth coverage of “moments” (significant events or movements) that changed the nation and the world.
  • Essential Information - this has authoritative articles on a wide variety of topics.
