On July 4, 2026, the United States will commemorate the Semiquincentennial, the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The state of Ohio, including Mahoning County, will be part of this historic celebration – and so will the Library!

As part of Ohio’s celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026, The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County will be collecting oral histories to preserve and share with the community our Digital Archive website.
