The Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County (PLYMC) Board of Trustees approves relocation of Struthers Branch

The Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County (PLYMC) Board of Trustees approved a recommendation from Building and Sites Committee Chair Ron Strollo as well as Director and CEO Aimee Fifarek to proceed with plans to build a new facility to house the Struthers Branch of PLYMC.
 
The approval of the Board of Trustees allows Library staff to proceed with the first steps in this vital and important project for the community surrounding the City of Struthers.
 
PLYMC Director and CEO, Aimee Fifarek and Building & Sites Committee Chair Ron Strollo are both available for interviews.
 
  
The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County (PLYMC) has served the Mahoning Valley since 1880 when the Youngstown Library Association was officially created. With 14 branches across Mahoning County, including Main Library in downtown Youngstown, PLYMC is well known for its signature services and programs like Summer Discovery and 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten. PLYMC serves our communities by preparing children for kindergarten, promoting early literacy, assisting job seekers, connecting Valley residents to technology, and providing resources for small businesses.
