Beginning September 2nd, the Newport Branch of PLYMC will be open Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:00 am – 5:30 pm. On Wednesday and Thursday, the branch will be open from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm.
The current piloted hours at the Michael Kusalaba Branch, announced on August 4th will be extended.
These temporary hours changes were made as part of an ongoing and comprehensive system-wide security review.

The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County (PLYMC) has served the Mahoning Valley since 1880 when the Youngstown Library Association was officially created. With 14 branches across Mahoning County, including Main Library in downtown Youngstown, PLYMC is well known for its signature services and programs like Summer Discovery and 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten.
