Learn about digital archiving and how you can build your own digital archive! Participants will learn about how they can go about digitizing, organizing, and digitally preserving their own personal media including photographs, letters, records, audio sources, and video sources.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own physical media and a flash drive for hands-on participation.

When You See This, Remember Me: Exploring Early American Portraits from Ohio State University's Rare Books & Manuscripts Library

Join us with Professor Kate Shannon, Ohio State University’s Art Laureate, for a presentation on early portrait photography and the enduring significance that these portraits have retained over time. Attendees will get the chance to view historic photographs from our library’s digital archive and a physical collection of early portrait photographs, including tintype and daguerreotype photography.
