The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County (PLYMC) welcomes Heather Chunn as the newest member of the Board of Trustees.

Chunn is currently the Vice President of Operations and Human Resources at the YSU Foundation and brings experience in nonprofit leadership, philanthropy, and community engagement through her work with the Foundation. 

"I strongly believe that our libraries are vital to our community, and I am deeply honored and humbled to serve on the Board of Trustees," Chunn said. 
PLYMC Board President Carole Weimer welcomed the appointment, noting Chunn’s commitment to the library mission and the community.  
“We are thrilled to have Heather on the Board,” Weimer said. “Her passion for the community and the library makes her a perfect choice.” 
  
  
   

The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County (PLYMC) has served the Mahoning Valley since 1880 when the Youngstown Library Association was officially created. With 14 branches across Mahoning County, including Main Library in downtown Youngstown, PLYMC is well known for its signature services and programs like Summer Discovery and 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten. PLYMC serves our communities by preparing children for kindergarten, promoting early literacy, assisting job seekers, connecting Valley residents to technology, and providing resources for small businesses.
