What does the future hold for the residents of Mahoning County, and how can The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County (PLYMC) most effectively support them? That is the question at the heart of the Facilities Master Plan, and the larger context that lays behind all the information that follows.
The goal of PLYMC's Facilities Master Plan is to reimagine the current Library facilities to meet changing service trends and community needs with an eye towards the future. The plan considers options for the renovation, expansion, consolidation, or relocation of all the Library’s buildings over the next decade in order to meet long-term goals. Recommendations made are based on community feedback, analysis of existing facilities, their current usage, and how they support the Library's future plans.
