An America 250 Celebration at Main Library!

When you head to the many events happening around downtown Youngstown on Saturday, July 11, make sure to stop by Main Library for a day of history and fun!

Join us from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with our partners at Youngstown State University! The day will feature activities for all ages, including games, crafts, music, prizes, Library and local history displays, and historical re-enactor Benjamin Frayser.

The events will be headlined with a talk by renowned, award-winning science fiction author John Scalzi at 2 p.m.

The celebration will be capped off with America 250 Bingo with our friends at Noble Creature Wild Ales & Lagers.

Whether you're visiting the Summer Festival of the Arts, Saint Nicholas Greek Fest, or Y-Live at Stambaugh Stadium, stop by Main Library to celebrate both America's semiquincentennial and our own proud local history!
