The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County (PLYMC) has submitted the financial reports requested by the Mahoning County Clerk of Courts in correspondence dated June 4, 2026, regarding filings under Ohio Revised Code 1713.29.
Following review of the notice, Library leadership determined the matter appeared to involve an administrative oversight related to historical filings. On June 8, 2026, PLYMC provided the requested financial information covering fiscal years 2020 through 2025 and has requested guidance regarding any additional information or formatting requirements needed to complete the filings.
The library will conduct an internal administrative review of its filing procedures to strengthen compliance processes and help ensure all required reports are submitted in a timely manner.
PLYMC remains committed to transparency, accountability, and compliance with all applicable legal requirements. This matter has no impact on Library operations, finances, programs, or services to the public.
