Summer Discovery is a free program for all ages that encourages daily reading. Read 45 days between May 27 - July 31 to complete the program and earn a prize. Plus, attend fun programs and enter raffles along the way!
How to Sign Up
Registration is required to participate in Summer Discovery. There are three ways to register.
- Visit your local PLYMC branch.
- Call us at 330.744.8636.
- Register through ReadSquared online or download the app for Apple, opens a new window and Android, opens a new window devices. Already have a ReadSquared account? Log in here. If you signed up online for last year's program, please use the same account information to log in.
Receive a t-shirt when signing up! Visit any PLYMC branch to claim your t-shirt while supplies last.
How it works
Track your reading with a paper log (available at all PLYMC locations) or ReadSquared. Read 45 days between May 27 and July 31 to complete the program and earn a prize book.
Kids and tweens have the chance to earn a midway prize once they've read for 22 days.
All participants are eligible to enter raffle drawings each time they visit a PLYMC branch.

Prizes and Drawings
Midway Prizes (Kids and Tweens Only)
Earn a midway prize when you read for 22 days. Choose from:
- Small stuffed animal with "Adopt a Reading Buddy" certificate
- Fidget spinner
Bring your log in to any PLYMC branch to claim your prize. Prizes can be requested through ReadSquared and picked up from your local branch.
Completion Prize
Earn a prize book when you read for 45 days.
Bring your completed log in to any PLYMC branch to order your book or place your order through ReadSquared. Books must be ordered by Friday, August 15.
We will contact you when your book arrives to your branch and is available for pick up.
Raffle Drawings
Enter a raffle each time you visit a PLYMC branch. Prizes will vary based on location. Drawings will take place at the end of summer.
GROUP REGISTRATION
Make the library part of your summer program! Read together each day your group meets to earn a free book for each participant.
