December 2023 Resource Spotlight: Residential Resources

As the winter holidays approach, a season filled with the joy of sending letters and packages to loved ones, ensuring accurate address information is paramount. Whether you're confirming addresses or searching for a phone number, the Library is your invaluable resource. We offer a range of free tools for PLYMC cardholders, available on our Business Resources web page, opens a new window.

First up is Reference Solutions, opens a new window, which we find very user-friendly. To search Reference Solutions, open the web page and follow these steps:

1. Click on U.S. Standard White Pages or Canadian White Pages
2. Type in First Name and Last Name
3. Optional – type in city and/or choose state, or leave blank to search entire country
4. Click View Results

Next is Mergent Intellect., opens a new window When it opens:

1. Scroll down and choose Residential Search.
2. Type in first name and last name
3. Type City and State or Zip Code (it will not search names nationwide)
4. Click Search People

Lastly, you can use Gale Business: DemograhicsNow., opens a new window To search for people, follow these steps:

1. Along the top horizontal menu, click People & Companies
2. From Select a List Type, click Household List
3. You can search nationwide for people or go to the upper right and type in a specific city, zip code, county, or state
4. Then type first name and last name
5. Click Search

Along with these Library resources, below are additional free websites to search for residential and contact information:

• TheRealYellowPages.com, opens a new window: Allows users to search the latest version of any city's phonebook. Go to the Choose a Directory menu or type in a city or zip code, and then click Search.
• USPS.com, opens a new window: A good tool if you only need zip code information. Scroll to Quick Tools and click on Look Up a ZIP Code.
• Useful residential directory websites include:

  • TruePeopleSearch, opens a new window
  • WhitePages, opens a new window
